You'll need to e-mail support@grindinggear.com.

Hi!
I have already sent an email to technical support about this, posting here to hopefully expedite a response/fix :(
My characters have also been deleted after linking my steam account.

In addition to my characters being deleted,

The Premium Stash Tab Bundle that I purchased has been erased.
The Currency Tab that I purchased has also been erased.
My remaining microtransaction balance has been zero'd out as well.

Please restore them! Thank you!

I don't know if this will help get it done any faster but I have ran into the same thing. I linked my steam which was already linked to another account. I didn't realize I had created an account here before. If there's anyway you can revert/fix please work your magic. Have spent a decent amount of money in the past few weeks and just want to play the game. Thank you in advance GGG.

None of this actually happened.

You linked your Steam account to another account which doesn't have any characters or transactions on it. That's what account linking does - your Steam account logs into the account you link to it.

Same thing happened to me...sent an email, hoping for a reply soon.
This also just happened to me and it seems like a pretty idiotic setup to be honest, i mean i wouldn't even have had to sign up on this website and do all this crap that lead to losing my characters if path of exile's trade system wasn't so asinine.

I mean i have to sign up on this website, link my steam account, create a market post, download a program, paste numbers from my forum post into the program, send a message to someone on the forums for a link, post the link into the program, then learn how to use the program to sell items, all to do what every other game does with a simple auction house? give me a f-in break.

now my level 80 and 73 characters ive spent the past month grinding on have been deleted because i wanted to list some items on the "auction house"

GG poe.trade you got me good this time

No, you don't.

What you have to do is log in on the account you play on;

It stands to reason if you can log into the game that you can probably log into the it's official website. Judging by the sheer amount of people who do this there's obviously something GGG could be doing better here, but I never cease to be amazed by how many people don't even try logging in through Steam. The option's right there on the log in page - it isn't hidden somewhere obscure.

so they have all the information they need to restore my account?

If you could include your Path of Exile account name, 2-3 character names, and make sure that you're emailing us from the email address associated with your account, that would be very helpful. :)
