Most of the "similarities" you mention aren't really similarities. I mean, Kaom's counterpart is a generic sturdy warrior, while Kaom was so much more than that. Hyrri's counterpart is a generic lithe bow user chick. You could as well say that inspiration for Hyrri was that Legolas girl from Lord of the Rings. You could as well say that inspiration for Hyrri was that Legolas girl from Lord of the Rings. well people saying devs played MTG a lot and then inspired themselves there to create PoE's story, this MTG novel i believe its from 1999-2000's and is really extensive, and imo is really good dunno why you mentioned Legolas...Kaom is related to Hyrri(niece) as Kamahl to Jeska(sister). M:tG was (is) the one of the sources of an inspiration for GGG. OP forgot 1 more thing to mention. Anyone remember those league names?
