PoE takes a LONG time to load for me.

I've always understood most of the load issues to be related to the very frequent patching and the ggpk file getting very fragmented. No shit, mines up to 7.5gb.

use the ggpk_defragment, it makes a huge difference to the ggpk file size.

Actually i didn't experienced much of a difference in most games. But in POE there was a HUGE difference when using a SSD.

In my experiance POE and Planetside 2 are the two games which benefits a lot using a ssd. Maybe a ssd is better at loading defragmented files.

Used to take me something like 4 min to load the login screen when I used to use the Steam client.

I use the standalone client and it takes me 30 sec now.

so, will it also help if we uninstall the game and reinstall it again?

atm it takes my computer circa 5 minutes to see the main screen.

I have the exact same problem. long loading times. and when I switch zones I get a bad allocation error.. happens atleast once every hour. Can also crash when alot is happening. killed piety once and game crashed when loot was dropped.

game have crashed a few times when I die in a party and is returned to town.

Think my issues have something with memory. seems like it uses more and more memory until It runs out of it and crashes.

Another +1 for GGPK Defragmenter

It also helps with the usual Windows maintenance. Defrag your disks.

Even when I used my crappy IDE disks it never took me 10 minutes to load the game.
And as people are saying, SSD makes this all go away completely :)
