Tabula Rasa Found - new player 1st character 4th level

So I got my friend into POE last night, and was showing him the ropes. Playing in Ambush league we went into the mud flats and found a strongbox. Modified it and got 13XX rarity of items found. Beat the mobs and that lucky bastard dropped a Tabula Rasa! WE WERE LEVEL 4!

Crazy stuff, I freaked out, scared my wife and her cousin.

I have now seen the light, crazy stuff can drop right off the bat!

They should include this in the Vaal orb tooltip. For any item.
You have to be realistic about these things.

Lesson #3: RNG is RNG :-D
There's also that achievement for getting a unique drop in the area you start in when you first create the character, before you get to Lioneye's Watch.

That achievement is not really an achievement though since its all about getting good RNG.

I dont like it that some achievements are just RNG bait.

Using a specific orb on an item is ok since that isnt RNG, the RNG starts when you get to to an achievement for getting a 6S or 6L which in fact is RNG. If we could craft 6 L items it would be fair but since we RNG it at best or find it which again is RNG its not an achievement.

Thats why i hate POE achievements most of the time.

I saw a streamer racing one time, and he got a unique nailed fist off hillock, I think it was.

i was helping some random noob from chat with fetid a couple weeks ago, wasn't paying much attention to drops, but out of the corner of my eye I notice him pick up an exalt.
This is the second person I've helped start up and both have gotten good drops very early. I also notice that when I start a new character currency drops are better for the first say 20 levels. For example I've picked up regal orbs before I am out of act 1 normal. It's not a viable farming technique but it does make me want to run like 5 characters up to say 30 and see what drops and compare that to the levels afterwards.

I've noticed this too a couple times while rerolling.

Same thing happens to me, i drop more currency items in act 1 normal than when i farm merciless quickly. Maybe it is a part of an incentive to players for rerolling new chars and also good to show new players that you can actually drop something. My friend dropped tabula rasa on the 1st day of invasion - act 1 normal.
