Kernel crash

A few days ago my GFX card driver started crashing while playing POE. This has happened before, but not in a while and definitely not as often as this. I updated my drivers, but no luck. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?
Can you provide any more details on the error or crash you're getting?
This is the message i get from Windows. Happens very randomly..
"Display driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode driver, (whatever driver version I have) has stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
i had the same problem for some time and spent ages researching on the internet about that. eventually the problem can have several sources, i tried them all but the problem never really disappeared.

if youre lucky you can just set some registry settings (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665946/en-us) and you're fine.

if you're unlucky, you have gfx driver problems. nvidia drivers are really sensitive when it comes to driver updates and reinstallations. best advice is to use a driver cleaner after every change.

if you're really unlucky your card isn't compatible with the (actual) latest driver, a win install won't solve the problem, you have to find out about which version works by installing version by version and use driver cleaner after every downgrade.

in my case i solved it by buying a new card it was the case that the gtx570 was overclocked by the manufacturer but zotac set the card's voltage too low to run properly in the long run. after 2 years the card would first show the error you described, then bring occasional blackscreens before stop working at random boots at all.

it turned out it was one nvidia driver update (i think 320.x) which resulted in the card not working without a voltage increase with afterburner or a bios upgrade by zotac. the card was bricked in any case because it run too long with too much current because of the low voltage.

good luck.
