Computer shutdown

Hey all, Sometimes, during the heat of battle, my computer shuts down and wants to come up in safe mode. This never happened when I started playing POE, just recently. Has POE advanced that much that it is more demanding of computer resources?

Are you using ATI branded GPU?

NVidia and up to date.

More specifically, GTX260. Nearing the point that I will put in GTX460.

Probably an overheat issue. Clean & install (or properly install if you alread got some) casefans.

The graphics have gotten much more optimized, so they should use less of certain resources. Perhaps you updated drivers? Either way, the solution isn't to downgrade drivers, it's to clean out the heatsink and fans, add a case fan if you can, and make sure there's no cat sleeping on the cool air intake.

1. Video card
2. RAM
3. Power Supply

Have you experimented with other graphic intensive games to recreate a BSOD (blue screen of death)?

No blue screen. just black. I'm going to try the easy way and hope for the best. Cleaning the inside of my computer. I recently saw a few spider webs in there :-)
