Bow and Wand skills
So we just got barrage fun skill but kinda useless regarding the damage and effectiveness.
Then i got this idea about a new skill for bow and wander users because they both lack skills actually. FOCUSED SHOT = Channel for 1-5 sec dealing damage based on the duration of focus 100-500 % more damage It would be amazing single target skills and Aoe/farming skill with GMP/chain supporting gems. It would promote ranger type gamestyle : kiting and gathering mobs in one place ,right now ranger means staying offscreen and spamming skills hoping u hit something, additionally Focused Shot will have reduced effectiveness per distance like Freezing pulse to remove this shot offscreen gameplay which is cheap and boring in my opinion. EDIT: reduced Focusing duration by 0.5 sec per frenzy charge with bow shot or per power charge with wand shot ,consumes all charges on activation. That Channeling arrow can be really nice thing, putting some afford in gather pack of mobs and line them for more destruction, Instead of just standing in a corner of room and spamming lightning arrow over and over seems to be awesome idea.
So we need new ranged attacks not for improving damage effectivness of ranged builds, because they are doing just fine when we are looking straight at damage. But gameplay isn't that fun. That attack Focused Shot can be really something fresh, it could have like 100% chance of piercing enemies, just fire one massive arrow that will damage everything in line. Can work really nice with Wands, like consuming your power charges to fire a Bolt of Energy that grows larger when more charges was consumed. It could just go in straight line dealing damage to everything in path and piercing through enemies. And it is so much progres in this idea, like at the begning your character have like 3 power charges and thats all, then gathering more power charges will come with so visible changes, your Bolt of energy will grow larger, damage larger area and look cooler ;). We could put some abilities that improve this gameplay even further, i know that we have decoy totem for taunting stuff, but i don't fell like it fits a ranger, but some skill that would set a bait that taunts enemies and then explodes when damaged? Awesomness. It would give you some more time to channel and aim your Focused Attack as well. Another thing, Ranger is always fast, stealthy, jumpy, etc character. And all skills that we have, make you just still rooted to ground and fire. So imagine a bow/wand skill that would alow you to shot while running, like you activate skill that fires some arrows in some period of time and after active you can run around. A target for your arrows can be set like randomly from nearest enemy. Movement is key right? So we could try to get some escapeing mechanics as well, like spell that makes your character jump back a short distance, while rooting enemies in front of you for a short duration. So lets asume that you are fighting with some rare/unique monster, he goes close to you, you are rooting him and jumping back witch gives you like second or two extra time for attacks or channeling this Focused Shot.
