No more resistance penalty

hi,
i did not play poe a longer time. today i locked in and set my passive skill points again.
then i realized that i have 75% resistances against all elements!? but i do not have 135% (75 + 60 penalty) resi for all elements.... does the merciless penalty (- 60%) no more exist? i found at google and the patchnotes that chaos resistance cannot be negative... but i did not found something about the elemental resistances...

The -60% is still there. Check your gear, maybe the Purity aura?

maybe you were standing in normal or cruel?

btw. the chaos-resist thing you googled is BS

1. You were most likely not in a merciless area. Reaching merciless does not add the penalty to your character, the penalty comes from the areas inside the merciless difficulty.
2. Chaos resistance can be negative.

You did not misunderstand it but those patch notes are nearly a year old

The new player resistance penalties are 0% on Normal, -20% on Cruel and -60% on Merciless difficulty. Chaos resistance is now included and the same penalty applies to it.
