Stuck at Loading screen forever

Last night I was playing fine up until the realm reset, then I went to bed.
Today, I try to get back on, download the 8mb patch, and am stuck at the loading screen forever. Opening task manager shows that the process continues to eat more and more RAM, but never actually finishes loading. I let it get up to 1gb ram usage before killing it, after about 20 minutes. Usually, the title screen will use about 600mb RAM on this computer. My firewall is off, running as admin. I started the pack check 15 minutes ago and have seen no signs of life from it. Windows XP x32 SP3...hopefully that's not the issue again. Likely would be more posts on the forums if it were. Any suggestions? Dernier bump le 12 avr. 2016 à 08:25:05

" Hey there, Your OS should be fine, as it won't prevent you from running the game etc. Can you please try adding an exception to your Firewall rather than completely disabling it? Also, can you please leave the game as is until it crashes itself? Sometimes this process can take 20-30min. |

Firewall exception added. I assume I'm letting it crash itself in hopes of an error code? As it eats more RAM, my system becomes more and more unstable, but I will try.
Something to note, today's patch was the first time I was able to patch without running as admin. Normally when I launch and there's a patch, I'll see the patch notes but be stuck at checking for resources, and then close and run as admin to patch it up. Today, it went right through. |

Hey. It started working...launched it up and it kicked in at 1100mb. That's still far more than I'm used to, and if a similar ratio exists when I start the game it will likely be unplayable, but that's a bridge I'll cross if I come to it. Thanks for the help

Hi the same thing has happened to me, I've waited a few days but it's still not working. Path of Exile has been one of my favorite games and I have put a fair bit of money in. I'm not sure what's happening but I am leaving it on. I use POE through steam which continues to say i'm still in game on POE despite not being on. I have been playing since the start of domination(ish) and this hasn't occurred before. Any ideas what is happening?

hi there have same problem can't find a solution anywhere.
i have to download again the whole game coz unistalled like 8 months ago . Win 7 quadSli gtx770ti dual I7 4770K 128 Gb ram raid0/1 SSD 320gb It does check resource for ever .... and my computer is a beast . Please help .. or else GGG remove chgecking resource thing and put the whole game in torrent so everybody can download it . with all the support u have from the community is a small thing .compared to those who cant play the game because of checking resource ( and cant buy microtransaction :D ). PS: i had my comp only running the poe downloader for 24hours straight. Knowledge is power. Guard it well ,Blood Ravens.

" there is a logfile in the client's install directory, what are the last lines? --- providing the game's ressource file as a torrent would surely solve some user's problems but would also open a wide range of new problems like wrong file attributes, rights management issues and so on. if i were ggg i would try it nonetheless, it doesn't eat their bandwidth though. they would only to provide the torrent link to the current file. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

cant find any folder related to path of exile; i have no clue what's going on .
tried to give to the poe client process the highest prority from my task manager.the result is stil the same chekcing resource .. i think torrent is the only way to make this downloading process better . 1) torrent like everybody know share all computers with the file 2) is used by several medical institutes so i think is trustworthy . 3) u can download future patch from here without having the problem of checking resource because u cna make an Msi program like most of the softwares around the net. think for a moment how many players cant actually play download the game because of this bug 200k 400k ? idk but . After the banwave in diablo 3 most of the youtubers joined or tried to join path of exile and so, their respective followers . the question everybody is asking is this one just this. you know GGG the game u have created is a pure jewel in the mmorpg gaming history so,why would'nt u try and fix this "stupid bug" ? the community itself can find a solution for most of the game bugs but without you're aid ,they can't do nothing but posting it . and that's why i've stopped playing the gamefor a while u have all of our attention but yet u dont give us an hand .
