blue screen

when i try to load up the game my computer crashes to blue screen and doing a file dump saying windows is unresponsive.

WIndows 7 64 bit service pack 1

nvidia gtx 260m 1gb

intel core 2 duo 2.13 ghz

im sure im well withing the specs

ive tried all the generic stuff to get this to work, and no my computer is not overheating its purring like a cat, when it overheats it hisses like a snake loud enough to hear in another room, its not doing that now.

I know it may seem silly but can you find the error code the BSOD (blue screen of death) gives you?

That error code will point to what exactly caused Windows to BSOD, which you can use to narrow down a solution if there is one. Judging from your system specs you have easily enough horse power to run PoE (I'm playing on a laptop a good bit inferior to your specs).
Your missing some of the Hardware Specifications......

Use SPECCY if you do not mind...but...

The game has a problem with Creative sound cards, that could most likely product a Lockup..

Other than that, at what EXACT point did it lockup - ""when I load up the game"" doesn't quite tell us much....was it will you Installed the game, was it after your click the game icon and the Grinding Gears Games Loading screen was up, was it at the server login......

OS: WinXP SP2 32bit
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Ram : 4GB Kingston PC2-6400 5-5-5-18
Mobo: Abit KN9-Sli (NF570-Sli chipset with Realtek Audio)
GPU: ATI HD4670 1GB
HD: Maxtor 20GB - OS - Seagate 500GB - Games / Storage / PageFile
Network / ISP: Wired / Cox Cable
This is usually caused by Creative sound card drivers, which are causing problems for the game at the moment. If you can use the default drivers while you play, or find an alternate driver that doesn't cause this crash, that should solve the problem!
Balance & Design
What driver do you suggest? I'm having the same problem with creative audigy2, game blue screens w7 64 bit installation upon entering chamber of Chamber of Sins in act 2.

It actually took my w7 system drive out to the point where windows could barely boot after first blue screen, forcing me to reload my last backup image. And even with that, it's still blue screening (though windows appears to be able to survive it without dying now).

Swapping the card out is not an option. It's hooked to a mid to high end 5.1 sound system, and onboard audio sounds horrendous with AC97.
I have the exact same problem any solution yet? thanks in advance
