Weapon Swap & Hot Keys
To the Devs:
Kudos on the weapon swap option, I was looking forward to it for 2h swapping with sword & board. I have one issue that I've seen currently. When swapping weapons your hotkeys change, when swapping back to your original setup (in my case 2h) my hotkeys are reset, primarily my main attack reverts to a basic attack. Any thoughts on this? Did you guys see this during testing? Any way to avoid this happening? Any plans on "fixing" a way to have 2 separate hotbars when swapping weapons? What I would like to see is the ability to swap my 2h out with axe/shield and have my skill gems in my shield like slam swap to my hotbar. Then when switching back my sweep takes its place. etc. Currently I'm just using secondary weapon/shield for skill gem leveling... Sorry I'm rambling. That has been my only "issue" so far with the patch. Great patch, love Act 2's boss, looking forward to the new maps and the skill tree revamp really did not hurt my build at all, it actually helped me streamline it even more and now I'm getting more dps, slightly more armor and working toward getting my resistances up. I wanted to second this thread. (Not sure if theres another thread about it.. forum search doesn't help much)
Would be great if the second set of keybinds were independant of each other when I swap weapons. |

Yeah I agree with this post too. It really annoys when you have to rebind LMB (left mouse button) each time you swap weapons.

Yes, this kinda has to be fixed. 'X' should swap all the hotkeys.

This seems like a huge issue for a lot of people using 2 very different weapons, I have a duelist with dual swords and bow and it is a pain in the ass to swap between weapons cause the skills don't change properly. |

I also second the post.
What I have observed though is, that this is depending where the skill actually is positioned. Meaning: If you bind the mouse keys with skill-gems sitting in the weapons they swap correctly from set one to set two. But if you bind a skill-gem that is sitting on an armor slot, these skills mess up your key bindings during the swap. For now my solution is searching for weapons contributing enough slots :) |

" Actually I think a good way to fix this would be to make two independant hotbars, so you can have two whole setups, which dont ruin each other each time you swap. You would have to pick your bindings once for each setup and they would just stay as they are. I think the bug comes from the fact that the game believes for half a sec that the skill can't be used because of the weapon and changes it to the original binding (which is auto attack)(I dont know if it hs been fixed since honestly). My point was, even if the automatic skill binding in the hotbar may be more newbie-friendly, it is still quite annyoing whan you start to get used to the game, so a setting to disable it could be a cool quality of life improvement.
