Connection issue only with poe client
Just thought I would post about this,
the last couple of days (Since about halfway through the HC ladder rush event on sunday) I have been having huge issues with connectivity. I play from Australia (Telstra) so generally have a fairly high ping (Around 250ms or so). However I have been getting a ping of around 800-1500ms and what looks like packet loss in game (the in game ping graph goes flat for a few seconds) and lots of disconnects. I did a quick trace to the instance server and can see no indication of the issue being on my end (I had 2 packets lost in about 1000 sent) and I am just wondering if this may be some sort of client issue as it seems other online games I play I am having no issues. Please make sure you're not running any torrents or other background downloads/uploads - some games can install these, e.g. Pando media booster / PMB is a common one. Also try to make sure no one else is using your connection at the same time, and make sure you're not using a wireless connection.
Can I ask what program you used to get that trace output? The trace seems a bit all over the place, my best guess from that output is that you're either on wireless or something else is using your connection. If none of the above suggestions help, please try taking another trace using WinMTR (available here). |
