Why should I upgrade raging spirits?

Hi there,
I'm following a minion infernalist build for my witch, and it wants me to use raging spirits. I have raging spirits at lvl 8 and when using my level 10 spirit gem, there are no noted upgrades to leveling it to level 10. The mana cost and intel requirements do go up however. I don't know the answer, but bumping this to say that I have the same question. There doesn't seem to be any benefit.

Minions have more stats with higher gem level (HP, damage, accuracy, etc). These are not visible in gem's UI.

" You are in the wrong forum my dude, this is for Path of Exile 1 and your question is for POE2. Luckily its the same answer: Minions scale EXTREMELY with Gemlevels.
