Texture Quality

Hi. I've got a suggestion, that might be doable, but maybe not. I've had this thought for a quite a while now and this is the time i shall say it out.
Basically, shortly said, is it possible to decrease some texture quality and add low option? Me as a low spec laptop owner would love to see that change, to make my game a bit smoother.

My opinion is that you need to get a better laptop instead of GGG changing their game to fit you...

this is not a troll or a elitist remark but game companies build games to run as GGG put it "a huge number of machines" and as i told a friend in the same position as you (he had a old 2006 desktop) the mass market of pc gamers now have much better systems then they did in 2006.

this game should run on most systems and if your having trouble i hate too say it but its time too upgrade as your the minority now, i was also in the same boat as you but i upgraded in 2012.

and by the way i strongly suggest a desktop a new laptop would set you back say 700 too 1000 lets say you had a desktop you could of gone and got a new graphics card too run this game for 100 bucks i e its a lot easier and cheaper to keep a desktop current.

Go here : C:\Users\*PG user that you installed poe with*\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini Now look for texture_quality=x. and replace it with.... (I don't know binary but) texture_quality=0 = NO value(don't do this). texture_quality=1 = High settings, texture_quality=2 = moderate settings. texture_quality=3 = low settings (everything looks like pudding but I have it on that).

Edit : You can go up to texture_quality=5. Everything looks like pudding on crack.

You can actually go up to infinite, at around Texture value=20 vaal's laser looks like a single pixel, and his smash looks like your screen exploded with pixels.

Cool, basically you can bring Lego-Quake to PoE.

I'm always playing with gl_nearest texture mode and a higher picmip to give me that blocky mode look. :)
