Regenerating Bandit Leaders
I'm currently playing on Cruel mode, as a solo player. I'm working on the Bandit quest, and HOLY CATS are the leaders difficult to kill this time around! The moment I die, they're back to full health, and I have to start all over again. I don't remember them being as difficult on Normal mode, even though I was at a considerably lower level then.
I managed to kill Alira, but both Kraityn and Oak have me stumped. And I can only leave one (or none) alive. This leaves me at a bit of an impasse. Is this accident or design? It seems odd that the bandit leaders, who are supposed to be humans, would have this ability when none of the other bosses do. Thanks, by the way, for making such an interesting and addictive game. I'm hoping this will make it to full development. Ce fil de discussion a été automatiquement archivé. Les réponses ont été désactivées.

Yeah it's intentional, the fight 'resets' if all the players leave the arena. Maybe try recruiting help?
One thing you can do is kill all their bandit friends before you leave/restart the fight - they won't respawn. Level Designer/Dungeoneer

Hi
OB(Open Beta) difficulty is different from CB(Closed beta); with the the addition of increased difficulty it might be advantageous to make your build a bit more defensive,ie:more life, ES(Energy Shield), or get a decoy totem. All the bosses, creatures of Wraeclast have patterns that can be played to your advantage, haha, even when they desync. cheers Conan: Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.

Some specs need special tactics to kill the bandit bosses. One trick is to have a claw, dagger or sword with the mod "+1 to melee gem" in your offhand weapon slot and use viper strike on the bandit bosses. Oak is easy if you keep moving around.

The friends who play PoE don't have schedules that line up, so that's out. Also, isn't the idea that you can play either with others or solo, as you choose?
I did notice that the henchmen don't resurrect, which made the regenerating leaders seem all the more odd. I'm playing a Ranger. Thanks for the replies, though. Dernière édition par Woodwyn#7219, le 30 mars 2013 à 21:29:15

Did you try using a totem to distract them while you fire away? Spell totem with skeletons or ranged attack totem with rain of arrows would both work. Just keep an eye on your totem's health and recast it periodically while you stand back and fire away. I soloed them on cruel as a ranger and it took a long time, but it was doable with a lot of kiting.

" One could make the argument that you built your character poorly (Poor passive point selection) or don't have appropriate gear for that encounter. Computer specifications:

They do regenerate?
Why don't other bosses regenerate then? Are the bandits the secret final bosses of the game, who have mastered life and death? :O |

Last night I went after Kraityn (after grinding a bit for XP and gear), and managed to kill him this time.
If any other ranger-players are wondering, I spammed Arctic Armour and Puncture. I have noticed another bug: I can't seem to stop playing. ;) |
