How to disable shadows in DirectX11?

Hi! Just read that since the new league launch, Windows XP/Vista and Directx9/9ex will not be supported. Currently I am playing with shadows turned off. I am using high end PC but really hate shadows in games so I prefer to play on old platform with better experience. So is there a way to disable the shadows in future 3.6 update?

I have been trying to solve this problem for a long time, but on DX 11 it’s impossible to turn off shadows. GGG seems to spit on players like us :)
seems like betrayal my last league :'(

From what we can see, most of the players choosing to use the DirectX 9 version of Path of Exile were not doing so because their operating system didn't support DirectX 11, but because the old renderer allowed you to disable shadows. Path of Exile's game environments are designed around their shadows. Over time, we have relied more and more on shadows as a critical part of the environment, and so the game without shadows has become very different than the experience we intend. Because of this, we made sure that our new renderer had fast shadows. The DirectX 11 version (with shadows) performs much better than the DirectX 9 one did without shadows enabled.

The above changes should improve Path of Exile by both migrating users to the more-performant game client and freeing up significant technical development resources on our end.

This is so wrong. Many games running on DirectX 11 have option to disable shadows. Who cares about the requirements since the hardware is pretty cheap nowadays? I thought GGG cares for the players and since most of them are using DirectX 9 to disable shadows, means that they doesn't like shadows. Also must be noted that Path of Exile isn't eSport game and shadows shouldn't be an advantage. Never mind, I guess Betrayal is my last league, too.

That statement shows you that they don't even listen. Shadows are not the problem and removing shadows is not the reason people play DX9. The real reason is texture. Lowering the texture below their "medium" is what this is all about. Of course DX9 runs better without shadows and lower Texture then DX11 ever will, but they just disregarded the texture problem and tested without editing the texture, then came out and said, HAHA community is wrong DX11 is faster.
What really needs to happen is some Graphic UI changes, something like an option to lower particles and reduce the effect of party member skills or something in this direction. Unlikely it will happen because this will take time and money for GGG.
My plea would be to make the game read the config file completely or atleast the texture related lines. Forced shadows can stay in the game, but please make us lower the texture below medium.
