Singapore and Japan realms have random high ping instances.
Singapore and Japan realms have random high ping instances. Some times the instance would be 40ms but other times it will be like 200ms and it's completely random which instance will have high ping. The ping stays around that number for those instances forever so it's unlikely my internet that is causing this.
I suspect that there is something wrong with the routing of the servers that some instances get pointed to servers that's not within the same realm. ![]() Normaly the instance will be around a stable 40ms for me. ![]() However when I load a new instance, some will be a stable 200ms which is really laggy. ![]() If I go back and create a new instance for the 200 ms area, it can actually be a stable 40ms so it's not area-specific. ![]() Dernier bump le 23 févr. 2019 à 09:26:37

Will this be addressed? It's hella annoying in lab where you can't just create another instance.

Same issue here, over 1 month and still no reply from support.
Got no hope for this game anymore til they address this issue |

All of the Japan servers are in the same datacenter, so I don't know how what you're describing would happen there. All of your screenshots are for Singapore.
It's likely that you have a bad route for one of the Singapore providers. When this happens again, the best thing to do would be to look in your logs\Client.txt file (inside your Path of Exile install directory). The IP address of the server you've just connected to should be at the bottom of that file. The line will look like this: " Run WinMTR on that IP address for a couple of minutes and post the results here. I will be able to use that info to find out where the problem is being introduced,
" Thank you for replying. Maybe I just remembered it wrong for Japan realm when I switched between these two. Ouch. WTF. These hops[1]. You are going to Frankfurt and back through Mumbai?
" Yes, your routing from your ISP (the DNS they use) is fucked. Nothing to do with GGG. Please specify from which country you are and which ISP you are using and their DNS (in your home network router, you got from your ISP) they are using (if you use ADSL). What you can do is change in your router under Internet section/connection the DNS primary and secondary your router is using (Google the Handbook for your Internet router for more detailed instructions): Best In Slot Public DNS (primary and secondary) are atm CloudFlare 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Cisco) OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 To check for your region which public DNS resolver might be best, other than the three mentioned, you can use https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm See very bottom the download link "Where to go from here?" To find the best DNS + Gateway option for you (least amount of hops, constant ping with minimal spikes), you should use PingPlotter https://www.pingplotter.com/ and let it run for a couple of minutes. eg Set up your Internet router DNS to CloudFlare 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. Open PingPlotter. Connect to sng.speedtest.pathofexile.com for Singapore (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1377789/page/1#p11291009) and let it run for 3-4 minutes. For Japan use jp.login.pathofexile.com ( https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/361292 ) OR as Fitzy_GGG described above, the IP the client connected to. If you are in Asia (what country you are from?) The route (hops) should not go to Frankfurt and back. The problem looks to start on hop #4:
" This is happening really close to your ISPs end of the trace, so I'm not really able to get in touch with someone myself. I would recommend trying to get in-touch with your ISP, and send them through this troubleshooting information. They should be able to update this route to make things better or contact someone who can.
" Thanks for the help. I've setup the DNS for my linksys router as 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and my computer ipv4 dns as the same. However, nothing changed and I'm still getting stable 200ms for those instances. I'm playing in Hong Kong. The ISP is Netvigator aka PCCW. The Dns they are using are 218.102.52.81 and 218.102.60.110. " " When I changed from Google DNS to CloudFlare DNS, 63.251.124.117 this instance kinda fixed itself, lowered to 40ms (despite WinMTR still shows the results as 200ms with multiple check) I had hope that it was fixed, but then there came another 200ms instance few instances later. Not sure what I can do about this but at least I can still play on Japan realm at the meantime. Dernière édition par jackyng9182#4118, le 6 févr. 2019 à 14:17:20

" Alright, guess I'll phone them when I have time then. Thanks for the help. It's weird since I've been playing POE on and off ever since Piety was still the Final Boss and I have never had a problem like this before. Dernière édition par jackyng9182#4118, le 6 févr. 2019 à 14:23:41
