No sound devices detected

I've been getting an issue recently (last week or so) with my client not able to detect any sound devices. I've done what research online I'm able to and I am at wit's end.

I'm using a laptop (MSI), and the issue occurs whether I use headphones or not. The sounds works with the initial startup animation with the gears, but as soon as the login screen appears, no more sound. (Shows "No Sound Driver Detected" in the sound options menu). I am not using Steam, don't even have it downloaded.

Things I've tried so far (none work):

- Running as Admin
- Adding --softwareaudio to the target
- Restarting client doesn't help. Nor does restarting computer. (Except one time randomly last week)
- Running PackCheck.exe
- Uninstalling NVIDIA sound driver.
- Updating on board (Intel Display Audio) sound driver (already up to date)
- Updating on Realtek High Definition Audio sound driver (already up to date)


Any ideas on how to fix?
