Smite cannot be linked with Curse On Hit Support

I assume this is a bug as Smite meets the all of the requirements to be linked together with Curse On Hit Support.

Thirded. Speculating that CoH's "Minions cannot apply curses this way" is responsible, in failing to distinguish between the players' hit and the minions' subsequent buff?

Fourthed? Dominating blow works with CoH though, so minions stuff is probably not to blame.

Judging by a few of the other bug reports that have popped up for smite (it can't be supported with Cast on Melee Kill or Cast on Crit either), I think Smite is just missing the hidden Trigger tag that allows these active skills to be supported by all of these support gems.

Bumping this for exposure. Currently having the same issue with Curse on Hit not working when linked to Smite. Other gems that I have linked to my Smite are Ancestral Call and Fortify.
Hoping that this is just a bug and not the intended feature of the skill. |

My entire build was based around the concept of smite applying curses. Just switched over at level 50 and found it doesn't work :(. So sad, plz fix!

Until they fix it, I'm going to place "Static Strike" in my helmet with my curses and the main hand "Ewar's Mirage" (which is decent at level 50). Just did a quick testing on it, since I'm about to have 90% increased duration from the skill tree, that'll be a fire-and-forget every ~8 seconds to curse the majority of targets.

Thank god someone else is posting about this. This is ruining my build and I was really disappointed the patch yesterday didn't fix it. Instead, it broke Delve for me, I can't do any mines now. -.- (of course that's an unrelated issue)
But Smite seems to be bugged with several supports, most notably all of the trigger gems (curse on hit, cast on crit, cast on melee kill) I was unfortunate enough to make a build relying on this as my league starter... |
