Problem with self inflicted damage

hey guys im currently working on a bit of a troll build.
I try to self ignite and self chill myself with scold's bridle + shaper mod phys to cold (body amour) and warchief ascendency phy to fire.
To achieve that i have mokous embace (+chance to be ignited) and auxium (chill is based on es and i dont have any so perma chill).
The chill debuff is shown on the debuff list but i cant get myself ignited is it a bug or it might even be the mechanic. (Poe.wiki says its poss but in discussion threads there seem to be different oppinions)

To the problem:
Debuff is shown but doesnt increase my as/ms.
I played a similiard build last league with:
-heartbound loop + essence crafted offhand and sunspite

The result was no ignite but the self-chill worked fine. The only way to self ignite atm seems to be Eye of innocence.
So the question is if scold's bridle is supposed to trigger ignite and why i get the debuff but no as/ms boosts from the self chill, although it was possible wqith heartbound loop.

I want to point something weird out though with self ignite.

I dont have any self damage.

Character : Incursion SC : IngitionAssBoi

If i use Incinerate. I cant self ignite.
If i use Incinerate CwC Flamesurge. I cant self ignite.
IF i use FireBall (with no supports). I cant self ignite.
BUT
If i use Fireball with GMP... I ... CAN'T... Self ignite...

Edit: Im an idiot... Arcane Surge.

Haven't tested echo but it just doesn't make any sense.

I plan on getting an Eye of Innocence so im not too worried about the bug, but I would like to see this Fixed or explained.

Also I am using:

1 Mokou's Embrace
1 Sunspite

thats 50% chance.

The damage of Ignite is based on the base damage dealt by the attacker, not the damage taken by the target. Scold's Bridle only deals Physical damage, thus it can never ignite. It is not modified by your stats, so things like "physical damage can ignite" or physical to fire conversion won't affect it either. In other words, at the point where the damage of Ignite is determined, the game doesn't yet know about any of your "X damage taken as Y" modifiers, and can't take them into account.

Chill, Freeze, and Shock are different: their effect is determined by the portion of the damage the target takes as a proportion of their maximum life. Thus if you take some of incoming physical damage as cold, you can still get chilled.

Hey dude figured out your problem.

https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ramako,_Sun%27s_Light

+100% to Fire Resistance
1% of Life Regenerated per second
10% of Physical Damage taken from Hits taken as Fire Damage
2% of Life Regenerated per second if you've taken Fire Damage from a Hit Recently
Unaffected by Ignite

That has absolutely nothing to do with being able to get ignited or not. It just means you don't take any damage from ignite.

Thanks for the respnse that makes totally sense. But it wasnt only about the ignite. U just agreed that i can chill myself but it doenst affect my as/ms when i inflict it myself. I surely recognize the difference when i really get chilled by a cold dmg mob.
