Why increased Cost/Level for 'Fortune Favors the Brave'?

Assuming the zana mods have equal rng weighting, the average chaos cost of a random mod is 3.857. Is 0.143 of a Chaos orb really enough of a discount to justify having a random mod as opposed to selecting the best mod for your situation?

And by increasing the level requirement to take Fortune Favors, you effectively diminish the value of being able to roll unlocked mods. This league is also accelerating Zana leveling, further diminishing this value.

I don't understand, Fortune Favors the Brave seemed pretty marginally useful already, nerfing it just makes it look spectacularly bad now. Fortune doesn't seem to carry much favor this league.

Just saw that they upped it to 4. Not cool at all. That was my go-to mod. Now, not so much.
Well, with nemesis only 1c more expensive and only 1 zana level higher up, fortune favours the brave suddenly became a hell of a lot less significant.

Pretty sad. I loved running this mod, even if it was barely worth it.
Perandus cost was also upped. IIRC it was 3 or 4c, now it's ......5 for God's sake o.O

That's not a discount, it costs more for the random mod than average cost of what you get! I could see it if there were multiple 8c mods in the rotation but it only does up to 6 anyway..

Anyways, I agree they overpriced it.

The level change is fairly redundant imo as you probably won't be using chaos for zana modding maps before she is 5+ even without rotations.
The whole point of FFtB was to give you a chance at a more expensive mod without risking much... only one mod was cheaper. Now with 2 mods cheaper and 2 of equal cost, it's just stupid to use it.
It's a bad move, make it relatively cheap and random and people will still run it because it's "random" and that creates that "oh damn, what am i gonna get" feel good moment.

Even if it's not rewarding in and of itself over a long period of time, those spikes of feelsgoodman make it potentially worth spending currency on and is an interesting option to have.

Now in relation to the other options that doesn't seem to be the case.(highest tier cost is low and moved up to a higher inherent tier cost itself)

It will probably feel better to just run bloodlines which is a boring in itself since you know what your gonna get.

three was fine in relation to the cost of breach, you got it once in a while or some good streaks and those heightened the fun of that particular map. And at the same time not getting it, but another past league was still a toss-up for a three chaos investment and generally satisfying just for the randomness of the addition to the map.

Random idea: Atlas progression was hard for lot of players - Harbinger orb will be in high demand - GGG don't want you to obtain those for an eventual 3c cost if you don't have zana 8 yet.
