Better than goldrim?

We all know that goldrim was king since day one when it comes to leveling a new char and I still think that goldrim is a little broken but who cares. This league goldrim finally found his master.


That item is completely nuts and the price is only 1c. WTF?

Now add two jewels like these:

Leveling now is a complete joke. Just use this belt, a goldrim helmet and a pair of wanderlust shoes and you faceroll earlygame and midgame for about 6-7c.

But do we really need more completely op leveling items? I think the answer is no!

If that is what you want you can add 2 new resist jewels. ^^

Or you can add two 4 damage mods jewels to oneshoot everything until level 30. The 2 jewels I posted were just examples for dirt cheap and great completely op lvl. 1 jewels that will get another 50% from the belt, it's insane.

If you like to be OP from the start, fine. Do it. All this does is take away choices you might have found somewhat interesting.

If you're over that, then items like this make the chore of leveling easier. If you're still excited about leveling up, you can opt to stay away from them.

There's different types of players playing this game and different types of items to suit them.

Only 1c you say... May have to spend some time playing 'But I need more tabs to collect more uniques in Standard!' later...

I dunno, I think it has the POTENTIAL to be pretty useful while leveling, but it also has the naggling problem of requiring other purchases to support it or being lucky with finding things and remembering/having the space to save them before you inevitably swap to it for a new character.

I'd rather the Goldrim, which is usually easy/cheap to 4L and color how I like it, drops often enough, and remains useful until I get up to the end of Part Two and start thinking maybe I should stop gearing like a goddamned hobo and be serious about this for a second.

That or a Tabula, or a pair of Seven League Boots (shoot, I'd use the boots NOW, and I'm starting Reds finally).

How can anyone whose played the game for more than 1 league still be excited about the chore known as the act leveling process?

GGG thought the reason players did not make it to end game was the repetitive nature of normal/cruel/merciless but I wonder if the the recycled a1-10 would have a similar effect?

This belt is awesome and so are the abyssal jewels. It's ok because your first char in league won't have all this OP leveling gear (it's your "fault" if you intentionally buy it, and thus shortcut the process), so you get the "real" leveling experience. But this stuff is awesome for your second, third char, when all you want is breeze to maps.

The Abyss jewels feel a lot like stat gems in Diablo 3. Perfect for leveling a new character. Luckily, gold rim dropped for me, and I have two stash tabs full of these jewels. I need to go through them and figure out which ones are my best ones and what build I can make from them.

Haven't gotten anything too great for my slayer yet (some jewels have increased damage but no life with them).

It'll likely only be an issue for this league. I have high hopes that some aspects of abyss will make it into the base game, but given how they obsolete all the other base belt types, I very much doubt Stygian Vices will be part of that process.

About 5 gazillion Stygian Vices will go to standard anyway & 20 gazillion Abyss Jewels. ^^
