Sepulchre Doedre is questionably hard.

I have not seen a boss like that in a while, harder to kill than some t11 t12 bosses due to the insane damage and tankiness.

I don't have a problem with bosses being hard, but when one is out of its league it can be pretty annoying. Compare it to her colleague Shavrone or Maligaro in similar tier maps they are much more balanced.

I suggest nerfing the AOE pulse dmg because that shit is too much, and you have to hide behind the curse totem but then the curse totem breaks half way sometimes. If you want a mechanical fight make it consistent, not random stone can break bullshit, otherwise tune it a bit.

I haven't done her yet, but doedre is always the hardest one of all because she will enrage on any curses on her and she deals physical damage which usually non tanky toons skimp on.

I've actually died in a regular phantasmogoria map pretty 3.1 to her shotgun overlap in vuln map (I know embarrassing) but moral of the story doedre is usually pretty dangerous unless you can just dps her down fast
Once you get to fight her you will understand why I have to make this into a forum post.

I think GGG can do better with Doedre as a boss.
most forms of her I encountered are either boring or unfair.

the "fat" form is boring. she has exactly 3 attacks: hair whip, single spit, triple spit.
that's the entire boss fight. and the triple spit is her "ultimate" near-one-shot attack but it has zero telegraph.
at least the curses wear-off once you step out of the curse zone.
which is something I can't say for ...

the "vile" form in act 9 and maps. fucking totems stacking curses on you. fucking totems respawn instantly when you actually kill them.
fucking totems.
and her attacks are damn near un-dodgeable especially when you are affected by 100x slow and 100x vulnerability from the fucking totems.

the "vile" form in act 8. this is probably the most fair kind of Doedre fight because the Valve resets phases and removes debuffs. but not really.
the arena is still tiny, filled with crap most of the time, and the purple phase deals a ton of chaos damage to negative resists.

Shadow: That was fun
Correction: did the Act 8 Doedre fight. it's just fkn stupid now.

looks like most of the story fights - especially the gods and trio - were re-worked to be more intense. I like that.
Shav and Maligaro are much cooler now in my opinion.

Doedre? tiny arena. even more crap than I remember. no matter where you move there will be something hitting you, hard. and slowing you. and degen-ing you...
died just once on Arakaali with >200 latency and screen freezes, but died 3 times on Doedre with stable ping below 100.
there was just no way to avoid the damage.

your build is just to weak for her xD

facetanked her ez ..... some bosses are just shit for some builds... be ware of that :P

Problem with Doedre is that you have no time to prepare. All bosses are waiting for duel, but Doedre starts making shit as you enter the room. Why? ADHD? Nothing to say?

Met her today and died to that, didn't even see the curse totem which was at the other end of the room (was still on the entrance side); even though I burst her down being overgeared for a T9, my 2 life pots (one being instant on low life, and having no leech) was barely not enough for me to survive. Even if I had saw the curse totem and imagined I could hide behind it, not sure I would have had the time to get there.

If on top of the the curse totem can break, yeah, poorly designed:
- hiding the thing you need to hide behind at the other side of the room
- having it breakable during the phase

Clearly not good. And I can't imagine that fight when on a shaper map if he spawned a void spawn on you before the phase and you haven't killed it yet: nowhere to hide?

Though i'd imagine any leech build would facetank the pulse without any problem.

P.S. I can't quite get why nearly everybody in this thread talks about other Doedre fights, particularly campaign fights when the thread is clearly about Sepulchre Doedre...

P.P.S. it's indeed also one of those boss fights where you can't prepare as SRS, as your SRS do not come with you like with all boss fights, but she aggro on you right away, so no time to pre-cast your SRS :/

What is one supposed to do with the channeled AoE Deodre makes in the map? I once did not zerg her instantly to see what she does and paid with DP for it :)

She spawns 3 totems and starts to channel some AoE - if i broke one of the totems, did not help. If i went on the edge of the arena, still got dmged by her. So i'm just zerging her in couple seconds to avoid the mechanics.

What¨s the correct strategy?

I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me.

3.13 was the golden age.
I died once due to the AoE, I assumed it was because my AoE broke all totems. Is it unavoidable? Other than that I didn't have any problems and tbh if you walk through an area styled like that of an act boss you should be prepared to fight the act boss in the end.

My guess is the channelled AoE is chaos damage because it killed me in less than a second, but other than that the fight was really easy for me and I held back on dps because I feared I'd trigger the AoE again.
