Bug with the resistance!

Hello I was using my old character in standard league and I noticed that in part 2 I have -60% chaos damage! and the penaltie is only 30%

The penalty is now permanent to your char(s). If you finish part 1, its -30% resistance loss and after part 2 (can be 'gifted' from previous progress for chars from before 3.0) its -60%. This penalties stay valid wherever you are, not only in the higher 'difficulty' areas.

But the weird thing is that my others two characters dont have those penalties, only this one.

And these other chars had already solved the Dialla Quest (Ribbon Spool) in Merciless too? Then it's strange somehow...

I'm having this same issue. Playing an old character through the new acts, and without knowledge of how the new resistance debuffs are applied, I didn't notice anything awry until after I completed act 5. Up until then, I think I had -30% resistances, but if I did, I didn't notice because I was still at the 75% cap, having been geared for Merciless difficulty.

Once I completed act 5, however, the difference was immediate; I am now at -60% resistances where I should only have 30%. This is already starting to make a noticeable difference, especially against bosses, despite the character being 16 levels ahead of the areas I'm fighting in (including equipment). If this isn't fixed, I have a feeling it's going to be crippling by the time I catch up to where I'm supposed to be.

Here's a screenshot of the character naked, with his defense stats. Accounting for passive skills (+43% lightning and cold resistances, +51% fire resistance), they're all clearly -60% where, again, they should only be -30%.
