Gruthkul's Pelt / Armor suggestion

Hi All -

Quick question on this armor - It says, Spell Skills deal no damage/Spells disabled.

Does this apply to indirect spells? Ie, Molten Shell linked to CWDT, or Molten Burst proc'd off of Ngamahu's Flame?

What would you recommend for an RT VP Ngamahu's Flame build for unique chest armour? Or just a nice rare?

Belly? Daressos? Other? Why? :)

spells remain spells even when linked to triggers. Ngamahu's Flame's burst is actually not a spell but an attack.

Got it, so only disables "spells"

Damn, would disable...herald of ash, blasphemy linked to flammability? , molten shell, immortal call.

yeah the trade-off is very unfavorable for most of the builds. Regen is nice but no such a big deal, and increased physical damage gives you less then hatred would..

I would consider it usable with something that focuses on high life and regen, and tries to scale secondary damage (like explosion from Gladiator ascendancy). Generic physical damage is hard to get at southwest area of the tree.

edit: also wanted to mention that it is a decent chest for Animate Guardian
