"corrupt disk" every update (steam)
this has been happening for months, on the same hard drive as all the rest of my steam games. it pre-allocates very long, downloads for a few seconds, writes to disk for another 10 mins or so, and then says "corrupt disk". it's only path of exile, and it's not my hdd
edit: o yea i forgot, to get past this i delete and re-download the game. i'm not sure but i think update 2.0 or so ggg might've optimized poe for ssd and since then it's been a lot slower to load on my hdd. Your HDD is fucked, it just so happens that PoE is the only game patching into that particular part that is corrupted, deleting the game then re installing (probably in the same area) avoids the corruption.
Might want to get yourself a HDD diagnostic tool. Also, there is no optimization for SSD,s over a normal HDD...since the async loading patch the game should take literal seconds to get you into the town on a standard HDD, unless you've been adding launch options Ancestral Bond. actually now that you mention that i remembered that a few months ago i had poe on my main hdd, which kept getting full so i had to move multiple games via uninstall/reinstall. poe was doing the same thing on my main hdd, and it has been full multiple times since i moved poe over to my second hdd. also i had poe uninstalled for awhile on my secondary hdd, and during that time i put multiple large games onto my secondary hdd at that time as well.
