Increased Area of Effect Intricacies.

Do increase area of effect nodes on the passive tree or increases from items apply to area-based effects other than spells/skills?

"Nearby" effects such as Abberath's Hooves spreading, Vessel of Vinktar, Singularity, Obliteration explosions, etc.

Hello there =]
Wording is an important factor in Wraeclast, most of the time.
It usually says "increased area of effect of area skills".
I'm 95% sure it only applies to what it says it does.
Love.

Hm, but Elemental Proliferation in itself isn't a skill. It's a secondary effect that's being triggered by a skill (which could apply to a good portion of the effects that I listed)?

proliferation becomes part of the skill, similar to melee splash

Abberath's Fury (the skill on the boots) does have the AoE tag and thus will be affected by AoE increases from tree/gear. Such increases, however, do not affect "nearby" effects as found on Vessel of Vinktar or Singularity since they're not skills.
