Minion Chaos Damage Poison Scaling
Heres a rather complicated question.
Does poison damage that is applied by minions scale off increased damage over time or chaos damage from passive tree? Chaos damage scales the added chaos damage support that is linked to the minions and by that scales indirectly the minion damage. But does that chaos damage also double dip? I do not think so. Only modifiers that specify "minions" apply to minions... I also do not think you are correct that chaos damage nodes on the tree scale an added chaos gem linked to a minion.

" If you socket "added chaos" to the minion you can see a tooltip dps on the spell. If I spent a node in the tree, the dps increases. |

you cast a spell that summons a minion. summoning a minion does not hit anything, but the tooltip still lists the damage from Added chaos, because technically it really adds damage to that spell..
the rule "none of your stats from passives or gear affect minions unless stated otherwise" still applies. ofc, added chaos damage and other support gems apply directly to the active skill gem so the minions will have the chaos damage added, and indeed can poison.. Minion damage modifiers apply to all the base damage types, so in case of poison it applies to both the initial hit and the DoT your minions do. " Right, So you link added chaos to SRS, and it gets the added chaos damage. If I then take a node on the tree that gives increased chaos damage, does that increase the chaos damage my SRS now deal? I did not think so, but GornoDD says yes. U MAD?

" The display is bugged, summonning the minion doesn't hit anything, if it did it would probably do damage, but since the support gem has to be applicable to a skill that doesn't hit anything, the game thinks it has a dps. | |
" Yes, that's what I thought. U MAD?

Not quite sure how to increase the damage... empower, minion life, void manipulation, rapid decay, conc effect or minion damage should work though
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
