Question: armor and bow for an Ice Shot/Barrage Pathfinder

Hi, I'm following this build by Yoji and can't decide which armor to get. Here's a TL;DR for the build:
- Life-based Pathfinder;
- Acrobatics keystone;
- Crits;
- Ice Shot with Pierce and Greater Multiple Projectiles (GMP) for area clear;
- Barrage for single-target;
- Reach of the Council bow for end-game;
- and here's the main deal: armor - Kintsugi, "If you don't want to afford Lightning Coil" (c) Yoji. The thing is, Lightning Coil (wiki) is ~2 times cheaper than Kintsugi (wiki) in Breach Softcore. So, which one is better? Upsides/downsides?

And for the bow, what are cheaper alternatives before I can afford RotC? As I understand, RotC basically has build-in GMP (4 additional arrows), so a rare Harbinger with GMP maybe?
