Lost items when Animated Guardian died

I lost a Blood Reaper when my animated guardian died. I figured my items would just land on the ground but apparently not. Can anything be done to retrieve this item back?

The Armourer's Workbench which Haku allows you to add to your Hideout can grant items the modifier Equipped Animated Guardian drops item on death, so that you can use the Animate Guardian skill without subsequently losing the item. It costs 8 chaos to craft.

Support aren't going to allow you to break the rules of the game. If everyone else has to pay 8 chaos to use the skill without losing the item(s), then so should you. It's only fair.

Blood Reaper isn't that expensive an item - you should be able to buy one from another player for just an Alch. You can find players selling items on the website PoE Trade.

That's a fair response but I didn't know that this modifier exists. It's kind of lame that there isn't some sort of notifier that gear will be destroyed.
