Dual wield and blade flurry
I ran some tests with 2 different jewels on my
- dual wielding - 1 sword / 1 sceptre (doryani of course) setup. 1) 6% increased atk speed with swords blade flurry tooltip : 4,76 APS 2) 6% increased atk speed while dual wielding blade flurry tooltip : 4,84 APS The "main hand atk speed modifier" is of course the same for both setup. And for the second setup, offhand atk speed modifier is bigger, naturally. i know what's written in the wiki : " but i m not sure i understand the word "rate". Does that mean that the tooltip for blade flurry is wrong and both setup have the same effect at the end ? And what about crit chance and crit multiplier ? (bonus question : doryani increase my elemental damage globally but about the "0,2% of elemental damage leeched as life" is it local?). Sorry for the noob question(s) if it is one :) Dernier bump le 21 déc. 2016 à 11:22:19

" Yes, if you're doing the main weapon + stat stick route the tooltip is pretty much useless. Crit chance and multiplier are normally shown in the tooltip however it doesn't account for the confirmation roll so it's fully accurate only for spells. Elemental leech on doryani is global, only attack leech is local to the weapon. Thanks for the info !
But then, for attack speed which is my main concern... do i only have to look at the main hand modifier, or is it still the average of both hands even if spell is only used by main ? |

Right, it uses main hand attack speed.

" The tooltip calculates for both weapons, but in practice only the sword's damage is used. The tooltip doesn't take into account the fact that maces can't be used with Blade Flurry. If you want real numbers, download Path of Building and import your character. That will give you a truer look at what gear and stat changes will do. |

Ok thanks for all the tips ! I was used to PoeSkillTree but that Path of Building seems rather complete as well.
Anyway it was my misunderstanding : "rate" was just an other word for speed and so wiki was quite clear after all. |
