Cant use totem??

So I am a summoner witch and global chat is being useless and not helping me. For some reason my ranged attack totem wont show up in my skills? It is linked to summon skeletons. Is it because I have a 2h sword equipped? I tried taking it off and it still wont show up in the damn skills! This is very frustrating any help would be appreciated.

" Welcome to PoE. And you need a ranged spell totem to use skellys, not ranged attack totem. Ranged attack totem is for bow attacks and the like, not spells. That explains it, argh wasted a few alchs on the totem too lol. Thanks!

WTF so I just spent a couple more alchs on spell totem and the skill STILL isn't showing up? WTf is going on??

" If you have a bunch of skill gems socketed already, it will not automatically overwrite one of them when you socket a new skill. Click on one of your skill slots down in the bottom right and it should bring up a grid of all available spells you can cast, see if it shows up then. Once you've done that, you'll likely want to pull any gems you're not using, unless you just want to keep them socketed for leveling them. Realize that the only part of the equation you can affect in the GIFT is the audience. Remove the audience and the trolls merely rant at the air. |

Nevermind the totem just doesn't show up in skills, using the attached skill summons the totem. They should really make that more clear.
