Did you click the Altar? Did you hit P to bring up your skill tree and try to allocate them from there (it will be the same in Merc as well. Cruel/Merc is different from Normal)?

Most people who report this seem to have already done the cruel lab and thought they did the normal lab. Do the normal lab and I bet you get your points.

Or you just assume you did the normal lab the first time when I'm trying to tell you some people did a lab and assumed it was the normal one but it was actually the cruel one and then did the cruel one again? Can you post screenshots then in the normal and cruel labyrinth with the difficulty showing and with the altar screen open? And a screenshot showing the result of typing /passives? If you check your quest state in game (press U), you should see an entry confirming that you have "Completed the Lord's Labyrinth and earned your ascendancy." for both Normal Act 3 and Cruel Act 3. If the game did not register your completion for either lab, you should see that you are able to enter the lab but not show it as complete.
It is theoretically also possible that you experienced a server disconnection or rollback at the point of finishing Cruel lab. If you received no feedback at all from the game when clicking on the altar (no pop up for your ascendancy/skills), your connection to the server was disrupted. This should have also prevented you from returning to town using the portal, however. | |
