Ridiculous bad Performance, fix with third-party-programs??

Hello GGG, i was wondering if i'm allowed to use a third-party program to somehow fix my fps issues.
I Have a high-end system even a Titan Video card i can run games like The Division on ultra details with stable 60 fps overall constantly.

So to be honest im really upset that i can't play with my friends on maps because the FPS drops so ridiculous that you end up dead due heavy fps lags. So you aren't able to do something about that long time known performance issues or giving deeper options to improve video performance i'm kind of in the State where i think, i have to do something by myself when no one else is doing it.

Content is fine BUT when the Game runs like on a Toaster even on high end gaming System this makes me feel really unhappy to play with.

Regardless, i'm thinking about to take this problem in my own hands since no one seems caring about this.

EDIT: In my Opinion u should leave the players using such tools unpunished since yourself aren't able to fix the performance the people may attend to do so by theirselves. It's not a cheat in my opinion just making the game playable.

what resolution do you run on your screen? a titan should run the game fine even with high details.

I once knew a guy, a friend's friend so to say. He was using a program to lower the particle effects or whatever, thought it was legit. I told him it's not, and he went and asked about it in the forums. He even named the program he was using.

He got instantly banned :)

Ofc he got his account back in a short a mount of time, a day or two, but I'd say that's a pretty good indicator on whether or not GGG allows these programs.

you can not reduce or remove the particle effects, end of story.

Thank goodness because where would we be as a community if we could see what's happening in game and not have massive FPS drops ? we'd be playing D3 that's where! I sure as F do not want to ever install D3 again with it's child like game play and graphics.

GGG please buff particles. The shiny Perandus mobs were a good start. Maybe next league all backgrounds should have reflections. Example: instead of rocks and mountains we could get glacial cascade looking spikes that are actually mirrors. Mirror spikes for the win.

Unfortunately, using third party programs to actively modify the game client is against the ToS.

You can (I think) drastically lower graphics settings in the game config files, though. It'll look like a potato, but it should run.

It's odd, though, that a Titan is having severe performance issues when my dinky 870m runs the game just fine.

I wouldn't say the programs "fix particle effect code". It's more like a complete removal of particles by editing the game ggpk file.

Also I'm pretty sure linking the programs or mentioning them by name is ban worthy so even if someone does a search I would highly recommend they keep their traps shut :)

I don't know why GGG doesn't embrace 3rd party particle-fixers.

They outsource a bunch of their game functionality to 3rd party websites and programs already, I don't see how one more would hurt.

(PS: Extra particles is not an issue for me, except for the whole 'understanding what is happening on my screen' thing. I wouldn't use such a program, but it seems dumb that other people who need to, can't.)

Got a gtx 980ti and still get random lag spikes freezing the game even though it runs 60++ fps normally. This game plays like dogshit, needs optimizing the hell out of.

The only thing that would really effect your frame rates is to remove textures and that IS bannable and in the ToS, so yeah...take it into your own hands just don't expect sympathy when whining about your ban
