Mouse/Keyboard infrequently laggy/not responsive

This doesn't happen often, but on rare occasions my keyboard and mouse both seem to almost lose control and have no input control for PoE. This is extremely frustrating, as I am a hardcore player, and having my mouse or keyboard stop functioning properly within PoE is almost always cause for death. I have lost two characters to this strange lag now.

I know that this is a problem WITHIN PoE because I can freely click over to my second monitor which is usually a web browser and click/type there just fine. This is not a mouse and keyboard issue, it is a lag issue within the game client. Sometimes (not always) this lag is followed quickly by a diconnection/crash back to the log in screen. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to stop it? PLEASE help. I am getting so extremely frustrated dying to this strange lag occurrence.

That's called input lag, the client has used up all available resources, so requests for mouse and keyboard clicks get pushed aside until such time as Poe stops using all your computing power or HDD calls, etc.

Another way to put it is spaghetti code.

Fun game, but garbage when it comes to technical aspects, in fact worst game I've ever seen. 2016, and mouse IRC can't be processed... sad.

Another example of this is happening (I was playing Spectral Throw) is that my character would sometimes just stand in place spamming spectral throw for a good 5-10 seconds after I took my hand off the button/key to try to move on to another area.

Omg yes I have the same issue now I know I'm not the only one! I have sent several emails to GGG's support team to no avail. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I'm having similar issues in this league, almost 2000 hours into the game and this is the first time I've had unresponsive keyboard/mouse for seconds at a time (very random). Also random freezes that take a few seconds for the game to catch back up.

250gb SSD
Geforce GTX 970 4gb DDR5 (driver 365.10)
Playing on max settings at 1080p (never had issues before)
