Can't use borderless window

Hi there,

So as the title suggests, I am completely unable to play the game using the almighty borderless window mode. I get the "Failed resetting Direct3D device objects" error message whenever I try to launch the game directly in BW mode, crash if I try to change -anything- in the graphics menu ( resolution, mode, or even most of the options ), and found out I could only either play in fullscreen or in classical window as long as the total window size ( actual ingame resolution plus borders size ) doesn't exceed the desktop resolution minus the taskbar.
So essentially on Windows 10 with a 1920x1080 desktop resolution resolution I had to set my ingame resolution manually to 1760*990 just to get the larger screen I could.

However neither of those solutions are ideal. I just can't tab out of the fullscreen mode ( did I mention trying to tab out would make the game crash too ? ), and I more than often accidentally click outside the window, resulting mostly in a horrible death ingame at the hands of a bloodthirsty pack of angry mobs before I realize what's happening and come back. ( that, or worse, I hit the window borders, resulting either in me moving the window or resizing it accidentally, which automatically results in a crash ).

I found no satisfying workaround or solutions but I have a long history of not being able to conduct a search on the Internet correctly, so I come asking ( begging, actually ) for a solution. It's a happy thing I suck too much to commit to the hardcore league, because I would have lost my character more than once because of the aforementionned issues. At any rate, it's always a bother to loose progression in a map because you were "forced" out of the game...

Computer specs notably include Windows 10 and a GTX 970, and I'm quite sure it worked last year during Warbands since my config files were still using Borderless when I came back for Perandus.


tl;dr :
- "Failed resetting Direct3D device objects" error,
- Have to play either in fullscreen or window mode, but looking for a way to play in borderless,
- Any attempt to do something that would affect the display ( change a visual option , move or resize the game window ) results in a crash,
- Can't alt-tab out of fullscreen.
