Traps + Flasks
This must have been covered somewhere, but I can't seem to find the exact answer...
Do traps get the damage boost from flasks like Taste of Hate and Atziri's Promise when you lay them down, or when they trigger? My traps last 16 seconds and my flasks last about 4 so timing is everything. Thanks much. |

Any thoughts on this?

" I think when they trigger. Don't ask me why, its a gut feeling. I believe they adopt your stats when they trigger, so if you have the flask's when they do it will benefit them. I don't think they are "instanced" when you drop them. However, since i am not sure, you can figure it out yourself. Get a diamond flask and use it + throw a trap, then walk a mob over it when the effect has worn off your character and see if the triggered spell still gets the crit bonus. You will need a 40%+- crit trap to test this imo and repeat the process to see if you notice a difference between "lucky crits" and normal "crits". Alternatively, link poison to a trap and use atziri's promise flask to get a bit of chaos damage in your trap and see if you poison an enemy after the flask no longer effects you.
