Ranged knockback - is there any point?
Jewels can grant knockback on hit up to 6%. IF you stacked 10 of these you would have 60% knockback.
The question is, is there any utility in this much knockback when combined with a ranged skill like tornado shot as a semi defensive mechanic or is it just a waste of jewel affixes? Currently the only use i can see for knockback is reverse knocking for ghost busters. IGN: Arlianth

I find knock back to be one of the most useful effects with a ranged bow build as it operates as a stun and keeps melee mob from ever getting with in charge range.I always take the knock back on hit chance in the passive tree for all my bow characters.

I'm fan too, but doesn't it knocback at every crit with 100% probability (K.of Hill)? In this case additional chance isn't worth to take, unless you have no/small crit chance. Or I missed something?

GMP Lightning Arrow with high Knockback destroys fools. If an enemy is remotely close to a wall, half-decent attack speeds will just nail it against the wall, taking Damage from each arrow.
But, as Skuadak points out, King of the Hill accomplishes this quite decently :p |

I was thinking of using it with kinetic blast chain but I feel the cost to put it on every jewel while still maintaining mandatory life is too high.
I wish king of the hill worked for generalized projectiles and not just arrows :/ IGN: Arlianth

I used several jewel slots to get knockback on my Arctic Breath build. I think I had like 42% chance. Worked great for backing monsters up against obstacles so the AoE would shotgun them.

It would be much better to invest in crit and just get king of the kill passive.

I would not use those jewels.
If you really want KB then use chin sol, probably the most underrated bow since on a lot map you are in melee range all the time. |

There is a CoC-Barrage build that uses these jewels very effectively:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1344635/page/1 It uses Magma Orb as its triggered spell, and the knockback causes enemies to be pushed from bounce to bounce of the magma orb and take multiple instances of damage from each projectile. combined with king of the hill it makes for a lot of safety and increases you standing dps, since you don't have to kite some mobs as much.
