Add a Righteous Fire Damage Calculator

Hello developers,

I have been working on my (now level 91) righteous fire marauder. It is a great build and I obviously spend most of my time on this character. However, my biggest complaint about Righteous Fire is the complete absence of any kind of damage-per-second indicator on the character screen. Even when I select the RF skill in the character window, it gives weird stats like casts-per-second or something, but nothing about how much DOT my character is actually dealing.

Please consider adding a RF calculator that will display how much damage per second I am dealing based all the variables that go into that calculation. This will help me make decisions on what gear to use as well as which passives to choose.

Thanks for your consideration!

Passives: The burning effect that damages both the player and enemies is not affected by x% increased Spell Damage. As of Patch 1.0.2 x% increased Burning Damage and x% increased Fire Damage no longer increases the self-inflicted damage, but does increase damage to monsters. Buffs affects still cause Increase damage to both players and monsters such as Inner Force.

Fire Damage (extra damage to enemies)
Burning Damage (extra damage to enemies)
Elemental Damage (not mentioned in the article but I'm pretty sure it would be applied too the same way as fire and burning damage)
Damage over Time (same as elemental damage)
Buff increases (extra damage to enemies and yourself)
Thanks SuperMotte,

I have read that page before, but that is not what I am referring to.
The "Extra Damage" in your quote sounds good and all, but how am I supposed to know if that is better or worse than what I already have?

Ultimately, I want to know if it is better for me to equip item [A] that gives [+10% life] or item [B] that gives [+5% Fire damage]. Similarly, should I select a passive [C] that adds [+5% Life] or passive [D] and adds [+30 Life].

All of these variables affect how much damage RF deals out, but I have no real easy way to know for sure which one deals out more DPS.
