Game crashes on loading maps

Hello, im on act 3 normal, and when i sometimes try to enter a new map the game crashes for some reasons..

Ye i get these as well.. Its quite bad in act 3 (had to do lunaris temple 4 times the other day because everytime i tp'ed the game would crash >< ). I get a few other messages as well, one were memory allocation failed and one were the game would run out of memory.
Im playing on a Vista 32-bit mahcine (with all the windows/driver updates) if that has any importance to the issue.. In general it seems like the way the game handles memory in general isn't that good (assuming that partial because of the missing optimization), looking at you 5 minute loading times. The long loading times aside the act 3 crashes would be nice to get a fix for.! " I'm also running on a 32-bit machine. I'm gonna try what you said and change to -gc2.. I'll reply back later if it worked. And thank you :) |

->Right click your desktop shortcut for path of exile->go to properties->In the porperties window there is a "Destionation" field which has the path to your path of exile executable, looks something like "C:\program files\Grinding gear games\path of exile\client.exe" at the end of that, after the quotes, you put -gc 2

Can't put -gc 2 after, not correct it says..
This crash is annoying, killed piety 3 times today and can't get the key.. If u can't hide h3r that u r n3rd, at least let h3r know that u r pr0!

" Have the same thing. Mostly in act3, cant remeber if that happen to me in any other acts. Tried the -gc2 thing, but it say i cant change it as its incorrect. Already lowered the texture quality and turned the shadows off. This didnt happen to me before the last patch :/ Really would like to see this sorted out YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions

Same here, client crashing mostly in Act 3 when loading a map / changing zones. Instead of MapView / not able to locate Map Chunk or w/e (exact wording in another post that got deleted), now it states "bad allocation". Let's get these crashes fixed, cause the game is a lot of fun.

I actually died on HC due to this, I was running through the forest at the start of Act2. When i pressed the city zone etrance i got up the loadingscreen, but nothing happened! I could still hear the game in the background.. I could hear the monkies hitting me, then I heard the awful Witch die-scream.. right after that the game exited to login screen.
I log back in and my Witch is now i default league... :/ Now I can never enter a zone without killing all mobs around first, which is quite annoying cause everyone else just run through, and I find myself running after people all the time.. Please adress this matter! Otherwise, GREAT game! |
