Act2 Dread thicket (normal) worth doing?

there's no quest, gem, or waypoint there.

it's just for a chance for a Large chest.

worth spending time there w/a lvl 29 char? (i already beat Vaal)

Are you wanting to farm it for the large chest? If so its up to you.

I for one did that place 3 times on my latest character and never found the chest. So I'm going to say it isnt worth it.

I was there 3 times. 2 times a chest was there. So yeah ... I was lucky for sure. But i will go there again ;)

Not really, the chest doesn't spawn that often and there is no other reward from going there.

I'm guessing they will either end up removing it or putting a quest there, as far as I know it's the only zone in the game with no real purpose (not counting the transition zones).

I think the purpose is the chest. What was the point in the catacombs in act3? I dont recall finding any quest related stuff there. or a chest for that matter

Some side areas are just for exploration, and they typically have a higher chance of a large chest than other areas.
