An unexpected disconnection? Anyone else past 3 days?
An unexpected disconnect has occurred:
I keep getting dumped out past 3 days (25+ times) and wondered if anyone else having this issue. I've reset my modem and have no other connection issues. Sometimes all characters freeze for almost +15 secs, other times just one effect trigger seems to cluster everything and boom, out I go. I have noticed drop outs from other players when they are actually in map but not easy to tell if they just quit or what. I have never had this before except around big patch times. |

Nope, been smooth as ever. i would suggest running a cleaner like malware bytes, just to see what it finds, other cleaners could not find half the things this did, and it fixed this very isue right up for me. if it doesnt help you, then sorry, no idea what else it could be.

Can you please run a WinMTR trace to your poe gateway while playing and make sure it is capturing when you experience the issue. As long as the disconnections get logged, we're good. Post the results here and we can see what's going on. Perhaps it will illuminate a problem.

I ran a trace but nothing happened for like 30 minutes but sometimes it can take an hour or so. So nothing looked weird, packet loss max 1% and max ping to poe 44. There was 1 spike locally, I guess I'll keep checking.

I am still having the same problem ever since Saturday, and it isn't on my end I am currently 4 boxing in Everquest for the last 10 hours straight with no disconnects. I would say that GGG servers are overloaded and they do not want to spend the money to upgrade. I really love playing PoE , but currently I can't play I lost a few 72 and 73 maps already and they are just to hard to come by. I will be taking a break till they fix the disconnects.

Now I've been dumped within minutes the past three times. I noticed first time my latency in the in game tool went to 1350. But the report tool does not show this so not sure what is issue. I am losing spots in maps for people and it doesn't feel right to continue until I can figure this out.
Here is the last log which I went into Dungeon map and lasted one room and everything froze up. Host is US.login.pathofexile.com

" When you get dropped from the map, can you go back inside of it, or does it fail to load the instance when you try to go back? |

It was group map with no portals open so even if I could find the instance in Lab, I don't think I could. I know what you are saying though, if it was solo, I might be able to find my portals again I'm familiar with that a bit.

" What I'm trying to ask is... did everyone get disconnected from the instance at the same time? If it is solo, are you able to go back in? If you answered "yes" to the first question or "no" to the second question, then your disconnection was as a result of an instance server crash. Not a network disconnection or something else. There are known issues with "fracture" maps that produce this problem when someone leaves with a portal in an area with corpses. When they attempt to come back, *BOOM* everyone disconnects because the instance crashed. So we need to figure out if you're just being disconnected (you can go back in the instance, or you were the only one kicked out), or whether it was an instance crash. Instance crash there's nothing you can do other than don't play fracture maps until they fix the problem. Disconnects due to network on the other hand can be traced and reported to the appropriate place to get resolved (or PC software/hardware reconfigured to prevent disconnections in the case of firewall or antivirus issues). |

Reset my connection again and made it through one map.
I wouldn't know the first question, I only pub-- not in a clan or whatever so I don't know the players to ask. Then dropped out in the next after 300 packets or so. I deliberately turned the tool on at the beginning because there was massive minion with Vaal Skeles and I had a feeling it would happen. I guess there is really nothing to do, that tool is just a trace it's not really telling us anything about the disconnect. Last crash didn't even show local spike. These aren't fracture maps- I actually made it through one yesterday, probably the last I'll try :). Just low 66-68 maps with 1 or 2 mods. |
