Spectral reanimators casting raise zombie?
Since when can they do that?
![]() The first one I raised, raised 3 zombies...then after it died its zombies remained, then I raised another one, and it raised 3 more zombies. (@_@) Not seen in this picture are actually 2 more zombies for a total of 8 on the map at once, but 2 of them were kinda stuck, and wouldn't follow the rest. What the hell? "Since always, I'm pretty sure. I'm not sure what the problem is - being spectres doesn't prevent the use of the raise zombie skill, and what you describe sounds like intended behaviour. | |
" Well for one thing they never seemed to do that when I summoned them before, and for another thing, the PoE wiki has this to say on the "Raise Spectre" page: " ...Hence my confusion. :p Dernière édition par Obright#1785, le 27 févr. 2014 à 04:14:54

Then the wiki is (at least partially) wrong. Some minion abilities are indeed impeeded - the insects that spawn little insects, for example, cease to do so when spectres, but I'm not aware of Raise Zombie ever having such a restriction.

" Isn't this, because raise zombie uses the gem based skill(thus creates a zombie for the caster to command)instead of a skill that spawns a monster(thus spawns an enemy, instead of a minion for the caster to command) Which leads me to the following: what about those monkey overlords - when you resurrect them, they can summon enemy monkeys for you to kill. " I think generally if there's a limit to the number of minions spawnable by a monster then a spectre of the same type can do it as well. For example, the reanimators can only raise 3 zombies that will follow him and the monkey chieftains can only pull smaller monkeys out of trees so long as those trees aren't empty. The queen insects can spawn smaller insects indefinitely and the necromancers can raise monsters indefinitely as well, provided there are corpses. I honestly think that the necromancers only can raise three zombies, since the skill without any modifications, allows for three zombies. I'm quite curious how it would be, if there was a shield that raised the zombie cap with +1. Would those necromancers also be able to summon four, if you would give them the shield?

" Necromancers are the ones (re)raising dead undead. Like the unique from the Fetid Pool. Reanimators are the ones from lunaris lvl 1 that raises zombies from corpses. They are indeed limited to 3 zombies each like the player, and yes, I think a shield with +1 to max zombies would work like that. My supporter items: Victario's Charity and The Forsaken

I too have tried these minions before, with and without my own zombies out, and never had them raise zombies before. Though I did remember a Dev commenting about the unique matua tupuna with necromantic aegis saying that it would give the 10% bonus to auras to your minions, and their minions. After reading that I tried this, and I couldn't get them to spawn anything (corpses were there of course.)

" I definitely tried every type of enemy that I could find which summoned minions in any way at all, had no luck, read that in the wiki, said "well that must be it", and gave up. ...Until the other night, when it happened totally randomly.
