corrupted gem drawback

increase lag by 50% and desync chances by 140% oh and whatever other drawback GGG can think off
IGN: RFFP
since it uses a drop of blood to signalize it's corrupted I suspect it might be connected with more bleeding damage and corrupting blood.

On the other site I expect the effects of the Vaal orb will be random, so it might be possible the orb will actually ruin you gem/item.

Decreasing character stats might be bad and forces you to use astramentis or it might heavily increase requirements. For example level 21 Gem level would be normal but level 20 would need 500 Int.
I admit that the ideas being presented look extremely amazing; however, in a full party with everyone showcasing these awesome skills I fear the following:

1. PC slow down.
2. Seizure from all the colors.
3. Increased de-synchronization.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!
There's a difference between vaal gems and corrupted gems. Note how it actually says "Vaal Fireball" whereas the corrupted gems they've posted just have the regular names.
High vulnerability to Reflect damage and thorns. Can you imagine corrupted Arc hitting a monster and an off-screen mage casts thorns? instant rip.

but it still says corrupted at the bottom of the gem. They are not introducing vaal AND corrupted gems. They are the same.
If I alch a chestpiece it adds to the name. Maybe Vaal is a prefix that can go onto any (or many) gems?

I don't think they are the same. In a spoiler chris posted skill gems that weren't vaal skills but still corrupted. At the same time Vaal skills might not all be corrupted.

As to the drawback.... its really hard to say because we have seen that items skills and regular areas can all be corrupted and you would think that there is a common drawback to all of them (or something close to common at least). There is an obvious theme of sacrifice going on so maybe it has something to do with souls?

Nice try though

Now to the good stuff

If you die, your corrupted items poof. Callin' it.
TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.
