Stats requirements ignored

Hi,

I'm using a witch lvl 6, that obviously have lack of force.

I found a staff with strength requirements, and the staff itself grants enough force to use it. But I can't equip. I need to use an armour that gives me strength, equip the staff, and change the armour again.

Base strength: 14
Staff strength:+8
Armour strength:+11
Staff strength required: 16

This isnt a bug. Exists in most other RPG's too.

I think the missunderstanding is, because you assume that because the staff gives you +8 to STR and needs 16 STR to wield, it naturally will require only 8 STR in total. But since the stats dont substract each other you will have to met the requirements at first, before having a use for the attributes an item gives you. Also the staff will unequip itself with changing instances, if you don't have enough force without the bonus of the staff.

I don't think that's true. Once you equip it, you won't lose the attributes on it when you change zones so it won't unequip.

OP, just use a piece of gear like a strength amulet to equip it and then switch out the amulet and you should be good as long as you still meet the requirements including the attributes on the item itself. I've already "picked up" an item I had equipped and have been unable to put it back on because it needed the item's attributes to be able to equip it.
