Resolute Technique worth missing out on crits?

I am assuming it is worth taking if you have a very low crit chance? My 2H axe with spectral throw only has a 5% crit chance, and I did not invest any passives in crit, so RT should be a good choice?
Resolute technique is there if

1) you don't mind losing out on crit dps additions and...

2) you don't wanna gear for accuracy, which non-dexy non-spellcaster builds will need near endgame if they don't take resolute.

It's a useful tradeoff if you're not reliant on crit at all.

Duh, its pretty clear what you do when you can take RT and when you don't take it.

You either go for crit and deal high damage with that or you go RT and go all out on damage with that.
Yes, it is very much.

Regardless of your accuracy, which you're going to have to invest in without RT, you'll still only ever get a 95% chance to hit.

In order for crits to be worth it they have to bridge that gap, or you're basically losing damage. In order to do that you need a good investment in both crits and accuracy to ensure that you get more damage from critical strikes than you lose from misses.

RT means you don't have to invest in that. You can just take a single node and not ever worry about critical chance, critical multipliers and accuracy. Instead investing your remaining points in straight damage or survivability.

Thanks everyone, RT it is then.
it used to, but they buffed hit chances for all weapons a couple of months ago. and they encourage people to get 30 30 80 crit pasives for cheap 3 pasive points. but at the end depends on your build.

RT is always worth it, if you dont plan on critting, only considering Accuracy Raiting. Especially for High Level Maps, you need a lot of Accuracy, which can be quite an investment. Also, not critting can be a good think for things like Infernal Blow or Detonate Dead, because otherwise, you probably one shot yourself to Reflect.
The only thing I am going to miss is setting monsters on fire when I do crit. Also, since fire damage has a chance to ignite, anyone know what that chance is?
In short words:

Witch Shadow Ranger = crit
Marauder Duelist Templar = RT

You can make *really* focused builds using RT and Blood magic. Not having to take any accuracy, int, or mana nodes, and...using a mace for example that only requires str. You can focus on nothing but Str and health nodes and end up with a super tank with very high DPS.

I haven't sat down and done the math, it would interesting to know how many more STR nodes you could take given the fact you don't need so many other nodes, and what that would work out to DPS wise. I'm sure someone will come along and do the min/max calculations on 95% hit chance and crit vs more average DPS.
