Move POE to another computer without re-downloading

Hi

Is it possible to move POE from one computer (at work) to another (at home) without having to re-download? Basically backup local content and restore somewhere else.

My internet connection at home isn't as quick?

Thanks
I would imagine an external hard drive would work for that. Copy it to the external, then put it on a dif computer. Thats all i can think of.

If you search you may find the GGG post that explains how to do this. There is a file that you need to copy, i think it was the content.gpk file, but I am probably wrong about the filename.

You should be able to just copy/paste, and yes, contents.gppk (or whatever the extension is) is what you really need.

Fairly sure that's what I did when I needed to run two clients at once. (thankfully not that often, it's a resource hog and no doubt.)
And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

The 'content.ggpk' file contains the majority of the game files. Install PoE on your new computer and copy that file over. The patcher will still have to download some missing files but that should only be a few MB as opposed to a few GB.

Thanks guys
I installed PoE client on another PC, copied Content.ggpk in the PoE folder and anyway after 10 mins of "checking the resources" and 10 mins of "allocating space" the Client started downloading all 5Gb (showing 0% of 5Gb downloaded). What I'm doing wrong?
your over complicating it. just copy the whole folder and you should be good
coooonips

I did it first and when it didn't work I tried to reinstall client.

PC 1 Windows 7 ===> PC 2 Windows 8
Can it be Windows 8 problem?
