Should I divine orb this?
Is it worth it to divine this sword? |

" Hi, I don't think divine would work because your phys and lighting rolls are low levels so you won't get any good rolls on them |

definitely not worth it

No. I don't think you understand how divines work.
They are usually spent on Uniques to get better rolls, it's extremely rare to be worth to use a divine on a rare item. IGN: GojoMojo

Instead of telling him he doesn't know, how about explain to him?
The way divine orbs work is that, the guy above me is correct many use them for uniques. But it's because uniques work different than rares - uniques have base rolls, and then they have the rolls that change. I.E; Rainbowstrides. 20-25 block chance for spells/150-200% max ES/80-100 mana. You can roll in between any of these, and lets say you roll 20/150/80. You could divine and get max 25/200/100 (insanely lucky FYI) but it's possible because there are no brackets that the divine can roll those stats, they can roll max. However with RARE items, there are certain brackets for the itemlevel. You can look up the exact brackets in a wiki - I'm just giving an example. Let's say your sword is ilvl 60. It rolled 48% physical damage. Since it is only ilvl 60, that physical % bracket for example is only 48-55% so you could theoretically only divine up to 55% which would be a waste. This is why high itemlevel 79's are worth so much, is because they are the top tier brackets and can roll the highest %. HOWEVER I need to add this: Even if you have an ilvl 79, and it rolls 80% physical damage, it is still within it's own bracket and for example will only be able to be divined up to 95% or so. The way it works is so that someone can't have a sword that has all the right rolls (which is pretty easy to stumble upon) and just divine their way up to a godly item, because it would be extremely easy. I hope you understand better, and look at the wiki for more in depth, better info. |
