Ranger & Shadow missing Mana Options

Am playing a bow ranger and there are no mana regen or reduced mana passive skills anywhere in the ranger or shadow sections. All other character have mana within a reasonable reach except these two classes. It's difficult to get enough mana regen on gear to wear updated gems with support gems attached.

Why does GGG hate Rangers so much. They used to be fun, now it's just constant kiting.

That's total mana, not mana regen or reduced cost of mana. Big difference but thanks for the response.

mana regen is calculated from the max. mana. More max mana = more regen.
But I agree to the topic, there aren't many options for rangers. As far as I know you can get up to 4% mana leech from 1 amulett, 2 rings an the quiver with each 1%.
I am level 62 ranger and I have the same issue...using clarity and evasion aura ties up most of my mana in reserve...would love a skill tree solution rather than regearing my character
Mana Flows cluster is close to Ranger starting area. And it really solves your mana problems early on.

Also note that if you get the Mana Flows notable, there's a cluster nearby that can give 60% mana regen for a total of 4 points. (take the road straight to the center, it branches off the first Dex node.)

On an older build I had a ranger who used the equivalent to those nodes for 80% increased mana regen, as well as a Paua Amulet. It made having a mostly reserved mana pool hurt irrelevant because I regen'd the mana for each skill almost as quickly as I could use them.

And the one time I partied with someone who was using Clarity, I had unlimited mana as long as I stood near them.

As for Shadows, there's a cluster along the road to the center that's 7 away from your start point, giving a total of 40% regen and 24% more mana for 5 points. The INT on the route will also increase your flat mana by a bonus 25, I think.

Granted, both of those are in more 'general' areas, rather than specifically inside the Ranger / Shadow areas, but are both quite accessible.
You can also use the mana leech support gem.

While I do hope the passive tree, in time, will enable tons of crazy builds, we shouldn't be entirely dependent upon it for making a build. Uniques and gems are important things to consider and mana leech is pretty powerful, though perhaps not as a pure dex ranger.

Don't forget Mind Drinker, which is just to the north in the Shadow tree.

Mind drinker is crap. It is completely useless for caster Shadows but is on the way to useful Witch part of the tree. Currently caster shadows depend on witch starting passives for both damage and mana which is bad.

I would suggest Mind drinker be changed so it gives 1% mana leech but like the mana leech support (it works with spells as well as elemental damage from weapons). That could solve the Shadow casters mana problems until he can get to witch tree (useful mana passive there are like lvl 35+ and it is not fun playing with shadow without mana to cast spells)
