account locked to many wrong password's

Hi l've had this 3 time's now l've not be the one to try and log in and no one in my house has been trying only thing l can think of is someone is trying to guess the pass.
What can l do to make my account safe if anything ??. |

Hey there,
I would suggest changing the password for your account and your email address to something unique and complex and not used for any other accounts. I also suggest scanning your computer for any malware or viruses. If you don't already I suggest using a gmail address for your account and utilizing the 2 step verification that they offer. This is currently the most secure email system available it seems. I also suggest reading Chris' post about account security and theft. He explains some of the common ways people have their personal security compromised and a few ways that you can protect your private information. make sure your password is difficult and secure. if you need to change it, I'd recommend changing it from a known safe system like a tablet or cell phone browser. I'd also recommend if you have gmail, that you enable the 2-factor authentication called 2-step verification in the account security page. If you don't use gmail or an email service that has 2-factor authentication, then I recommend getting a gmail address, enable it, then change your poe account to use the secured gmail address.
